I literally spent a solid hour teaching my sweet ones how to subtract with regrouping today! I probably went way above the expectations of our second grade math curriculum but my kids were addicted! They got a little carried away with excitement when they really started to understand the process. I have never in my life seen children beg for more math problems! I think I even saw one of my boys tear up when I finally cut them off....
Here is a little practice page I whipped together this afternoon for them. I plan on giving it to them in the morning to use as a formative assessment. Nothing fancy but it will do the trick.
