"Groovy Cat" School Tour- Free :)

This year my kindergartners will be introduced to our school building with a little help from good ol' Pete.  I've created a school tour that my team will use during our staggered enrollment week in August. Due to copyright infringement I have decided not to use Melonheadz's awesome graphics of Pete (sniff, sniff) or mention his name in writing on the tour cards.  I will, however, be reading Rocking In My School Shoes beforehand and will have my stuffed Pete to go along with us on the tour.  Don't worry....I will be referring to him by name as we visit each place around the school! :)

My school usually does The Kissing Hand for staggered week but we are going to save our activities for this book on the first day of school on the following week when we have our full class.  On staggered week we only have a few each day.

You can grab a copy of my Groovy Class Tour cards for FREE by clicking {here} or on the image.  Feel free to share this with others.  I just ask that you link back to this post rather than share the file.  Thank you!

Any ideas for what treat Pete can leave for the kiddos when they return to the classroom?

  2. This is too cute! I realized I posted my idea of what Pete should leave on your FB page rather than here! So sorry! (It was the box of crayons/BB idea). I am a rhyme fanatic, so if you don't like the 'ditty' I posted on there, feel free to contact me (or if you get the laces and need something for that!) if you want something different!

  5. Love the new idea! Thanks! We LOVE Pete the Cat! I was going to suggest strawberries, blueberries, and pudding too. I don't have the book at home but what is Pete eating in the lunchroom?

  6. I did this last year, and made "meow Mix"....it was trail mix in a baggie with a paper topper that said meowmix with a little pic of pete on it :)

  8. Last year Pete did not go with us...he was in the room when we got back! I had everyone we were visiting decorate a sneaker. We collected them, and made a book. I am thinking that Wal-Mart had a pretty groovy pack of pencils. I may have Pete holding them Rockin' in the Classroom. Saving White Shoes for another day...but I like the snack idea from Mary Palmer.
