Hooray for our 100th Day!

Meet Granny Lirette and Granny Morris
Phew!  I. am. exhausted.

Today we celebrated our 100th day of school.  My team decided to dress like old ladies for the occasion.  We didn't tell the kids so they were completely surprised as we greeted them at the door.  Hilarious!  Some of them didn't even want to go in the classroom because they couldn't quite figure out who we were and what was going on.  Here's a pic I took with my adorable student teacher {right}.
Last week I asked for some help with 100th day ideas on my Facebook page.  Thanks to everyone who commented! Julie R. suggested a "scavenger hunt" with Hershey's kisses.  We tried it today and it was SO much fun!  All you do is take 100 kisses and program them with numbers 1-100 on the bottom.  I used dot stickers so the numbers show up more clearly.  After scattering or hiding the kisses around the room, have your students find them and match them up to the correct square on the hundreds chart.  Super easy and it got the kids moving.
Our skip counting caterpillars turned out super cute and our fruit loop necklaces were very colorful.

We also made yummy snack mixes of 100 items and attempted 100 cup structures.
Hundreds Day would not be complete without 100 year old portraits!
"When I am 100 years old I will look like this.  I will be handsome."
"When I am 100 years old my hair will be gray."
I leave you with my sweet one.
She will join us for the 100th day of K next year!
